The Community Health Centre (CHC) Kundra offers a range of essential healthcare services, including outpatient and inpatient care, comprehensive family welfare services (both surgical and non-surgical), and specialized maternity services to manage high-risk pregnancies. Additionally, CHC Kundra ensures free drug distribution under NIRAMAYA and free diagnostic services through NIDAN.

NIRAMAYA – Free Medicine Distribution

The NIRAMAYA scheme aims to provide 570 essential medicines to all patients at government health facilities. Its key objectives include:

  • Improving accessibility to essential medicines and healthcare.
  • Reducing the financial burden on patients.
  • Decreasing morbidity and mortality by controlling communicable and non-communicable diseases.

NIDAN – Free Diagnostic Services

The NIDAN scheme offers free diagnostic tests at different healthcare levels:

  • Community Health Centre (CHC): 40 types of tests.
  • Primary Health Centre (PHC): 9 types of tests.
  • Sub-centres: 6 types of tests.

The primary goal of NIDAN is to provide free diagnostic services to all citizens, with a focus on reducing Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). Additionally, pathology and biochemistry tests are available free of cost.

Additional Services at CHC Kundra as a First Referral Unit (FRU)

CHC Kundra operates as a First Referral Unit (FRU), offering the following specialized services:

  • Caesarean Section: A dedicated Obstetrics & Gynecology (O&G) medical officer is available to handle emergency deliveries, including free caesarean operations.
  • X-Ray Facility: CHC Kundra is equipped with a digital X-ray machine, providing free X-ray services whenever required.
  • Sick Newborn Stabilisation Unit (SNSU): A specialized unit is available for stabilizing critically ill newborns, located near the labour room for immediate care.
  • Ambulance Service: A 108 ambulance and an additional Omni vehicle are available for emergency patient transportation.
  • Crèche Facility: A crèche facility is available for the children of hospitalized patients, ensuring a safe and engaging space for them.
  • Patient Attendant Rest Shed: For attendants accompanying patients, a rest shed is provided, including a facility to cook meals. This rest shed is located near Maa Gruha.
